Richard's story

From Barry Langridge’s research on the men of the Rifle Brigade:

Enlisted: June 1916, 3rd Battalion, Rifle Brigade.

K.I.A.  6 October 1918 (“Soldiers Died in the Great War” confirms that Rfm Harvey “died” on 6 October.)

On 19 September the 3rd Battalion marched to billets in Faubourg St. Druon (Cambrai).  The Battalion stayed here, training, until 28 October, when they marched to new billets.  It is therefore likely that Rfm Harvey did in fact “die” from some cause other than being killed in action.
