Victor Ernest's story

Bell has V E Zinecraft.

Formerly served in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. Enlisted in Woolwich on 3 September 1914 into the Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment).

Victor’s service records are one of the few to survive fairly intact. He died of wounds as a result of a gunshot wound to the stomach. His father had died by 1918 but his mother was still living in Rendle Road after the war, as his next of kin she received his service medals.
