See the bells on Heritage Open Day Saturday 12 September

By Philippa

On Saturday 12 September 2015 between 11 am and 2 pm there will be a chance to visit the Memorial Bells. You can also go on a short walking tour of some of the places the Local  Heroes lived, to reflect on the impact of the First World War on this part of East London. The walk takes about an hour so will leave by 1 pm.

This is part of  Heritage Open Days, and there will also be a small Harvest Market outside the church building with stalls run by local charities and individuals selling plants, jams, cakes and crafts. Cornerstone Cafe opposite will be serving brunch all day.

The address is Memorial Community Church, 395 Barking Road, Plaistow,  London E13 8AL.
